GivingTuesday 2023
New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provides a loving and supportive place for single mothers to start a new life. This Christian-based residential setting is designed to help new mothers become responsible parents – by raising their new babies in a caring environment. Since opening our doors in 1993, we have helped over 250 mothers – our Capital Campaign for the construction of a larger facility (still in Milwaukee – less than 10 miles from the current location) will allow us to triple our capacity and help more mothers. If you would like to support the Heart Campaign this GivingTuesday, please choose that designation in the drop-down, or click here for more information.
New Beginnings enables a single mother to live away from potentially dangerous or harmful influences and nurture her child in a positive environment. We provide a unique opportunity for generationally poor mothers to grow in their confidence and independence while being supported in raising their child.
Currently, our program provides opportunities to advance education, learn fundamental parenting and financial skills, participate in counseling sessions, and acquire an objective baseline for responsible living through a structured faith-based program. Ultimately, our vision is to equip each mother with the skills and education needed to earn self-sustaining wages, without an indeterminate need for government assistance.
Your gift this GivingTuesday gives mothers and babies a unique opportunity at a new beginning. If you are interested in being an individual to provide matching funds for this campaign, please contact Brittany Jahns, Donor Relations Associate (1-800-729-9535 ext. 9 or email).
