VANNA EDWARDSHome Manager
As the Home Manager at New Beginnings – A Home for Mothers, I am deeply blessed to walk alongside single mothers and their children. My mission is simple: to glorify God in all that I do while helping mothers grow spiritually and reach their goals during this beautiful, challenging journey of life. Alongside my role at the home, I have spent the last two years serving as an Embrace Life facilitator at St. Marcus Lutheran Church, where I share encouragement, prayer, and the Word of God with local families. I hold a degree in Healthcare Management from Concordia University, which helps me balance organizational leadership with heart-led ministry. At home, my greatest joy is raising my two precious girls, who inspire me daily to wear my many hats with grace and love.

RUTH WESTPHALProgram & Ministry Care Manager
I have spent most of my life serving others through education, ministry, and community outreach. As the Program & Ministry Care Manager at New Beginnings - A Home for Mothers, I have the privilege of walking alongside single mothers as they navigate some of life's most challenging and transformative seasons.
I am passionate about helping women discover their God-given worth, build confidence, develop life skills, and create a stable future for themselves and their children. Whether I am mentoring residents, coordinating ministry programs, fundraising, or connecting with supporters, my goal is to share Christ's love in practical and meaningful ways. I have been married to my husband, Erich, for 23 years, and together we have two beautiful daughters—Ella (20) and Maggie (14). My family has been one of God's greatest blessings, and many of the lessons I've learned as a wife and mother have shaped the way I serve and encourage others. I believe that every person has a story worth hearing and a future worth investing in. It is a joy to be part of a ministry that offers hope, support, and encouragement to families as they work toward independence and a brighter future. |
