There are so many bible passages that speak to this:
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
Psalm 46:1-2 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever – present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea…”
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
The list could go on and on but those are some good ones to keep in mind. The passages above, really point to when you are having a stretch of bad luck, but there is another situation that can’t be forgotten either, which is what to remember when we are having the best luck in the world:
Psalm 7:17 “I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High.”
Psalm 28:7 “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.”
1 Chronicles 16:35 “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
I think most can agree with me when I say life is not easy. There are many obstacles to get around and we all know Satan won’t pass up a chance to get us to fall away in those hard times. Remembering that what you may be going through at this particular time, it will pass good or bad. Having faith and trusting in God that the events happening in your life is for your good and he already knows what will happen in the long run. So if you should remember any passage from this remember the following and stay close to Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
