We Can Have Peace

​“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” 

​Fall is upon us! Fall is my favorite season. I always feel a sense of security and coziness when I pull out my Fall sweaters for the first time, and curl up on the couch with a warm cup of apple cider.
 
This year, my feelings of peace and coziness feel like more of a blessing than ever. Since starting my position at New Beginnings, my eyes have opened up to the hardships that many of our residents face before coming to New Beginnings.  Our residents may have never felt a sense of security and peacefulness prior to moving into the New Beginnings’ home. The good news is that our ministry allows us to provide a safe and loving place for our residents; even more so, New Beginnings is a place where residents become part of God’s family through the Word of Christ.
 
Our residents are able to feel a sense of security in knowing that God will always be there. What a wonderful reminder in times of fear. In fact, Philippians 4:19 says, ​“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” 

​​One day at a time, our residents study and grow in God’s grace through His Word. I feel blessed to watch the transformation happen. Often times our mothers express fear in giving birth to their first child with phrases like, “I can’t do it” or “I am scared”. Through the Word of Christ and the support of our family at New Beginnings, we are able to wrap our mothers up in God’s loving arms; before we know it our residents are saying, “I can do this” and “my baby is a blessing from God”. Even in times of fear of the unknown we can trust that “the Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:8).  As we enjoy the brisk Fall air, let us always feel a sense of peace in knowing that God will never leave our side!

Brianne has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
